Fanimecon 2011

Fanime 2011 is over! With a lot of hard work now put behind us and we’re all home safe and sound, its time to clean our apartments. Even though Fanime left all of our homes in what could probably be called the worst fabric explosion yet, we are happy to announce it was 150% worth it. We had a ton of fun this year and got to bring along some friends who had never been to Fanime before! Also, for the first time, NOTN performed in Fanime’s Cosplay Spectacular! Our new skit “Insert Subject Name Here” is up on our skits page! Please check out our facebook for photos of us in our cosplay! NOTN would like to thank everyone for all of the attention our skit is receiving. So far we have been featured on Joystiq, Kotaku, G4, The Escapist, and many others as well as reached over 200,000 views on Youtube! More than any of our other skits to date! Thank you so much for all the nice comments everyone!

          Next up is AM2 in Anaheim, CA. Don’t forget, that’s where WCS prelims are this year! Good luck to all the entrants!

Sakuracon 2011

NOTN is back from Sakuracon(Seattle, WA)!  We had an amazing time once again! We had the opportunity to perform a skit in the skit contest as well as work with new people! We made a lot of new friends and are very proud of our performance! Flags Of Our Fathers is now up on the ‘skits’ page! Check it out!

Aki-con 2010

Kayla here! NOTN is back from Aki-con 2010 in Bellevue, WA! We had a great time! The con is pretty small so it was nice to just walk around a bit and chill out. It was super laid back and we did almost no cosplaying at all. We did however manage to pull together a short skit (in a little under 2 weeks before the con) that wound up winning us 1st place in the cosplay showdown. (For those unfamiliar with how Aki-con runs their contests; The cosplay showdown is a “Skit-only” contest.) The skit has been uploaded to our skits page! Check it out!

Also! NOTN now has a facebook page! You can watch us there to keep up to date on our new costumes, skit plans and much more! There are also galleries upon galleries of photos from cons, our skits and progress photos as well! Enjoy!

Next up will be Sakuracon 2011 in Seattle WA and Fanime 2011 in San Jose, CA! We have some skits planned for both so we will be keeping very busy this winter getting prepared for them! Thanks for checking out our page!

World Cosplay Summit and KumoriCon 2010!

Hey guys, Krystal here. Just a quick update, Rynn and I are back from Japan, and slowly catching up to real life again. We didn’t take home any prizes, but the experience was astounding! Also, I wanna congratulate our girls Kayla and Mandy for taking home Best Master Skit and Best Master Costumes at this year’s KumoriCon for their skit “Kingdom Charades”! Both the WCS performance, and the KumoriCon skit have been added to the skits page, and hopefully in the next couple months, we’ll be able to update a little more. As we head into the winter slump, there’s a lot ahead including moving plans, and setting into work-mode before Con Season rolls around again.

WCS Update

Fanimecon 2010

Kayla here, happy to announce that Fanimecon 2010 was amazing! Prior to the convention, NOTN finally (after 5 years of knowing each other) took some real life non-cosplay photos together! So check those out on our NOTN Members page. Also, I am happy to announce that two of our members, Rynn and Krystal, won the preliminary contest for World Cosplay Summit and in 6 short weeks will be traveling to Japan to enter in the finals! Wish them the best of luck! Congrats girls!

SakuraCon Reports and FanimeCon!

So, NOTN fails right now, because we haven’t gotten together our SakuraCon reports yet! But, really, we have a good reason! We’ve been working our butts off preparing for FanimeCon in San Jose CA at the end of this month! We’re really excited to all be going together for the first time, and we’ve been coordinating our groups cosplays for it. Kathryn and Krystal are also competing for the preliminaries for WCS, so be sure to cheer them on! : D

Best in Show!

SakuraCon 2010 has come and gone, and this year, Ninja of the night once again walked away with the cosplay contest’s ‘Best in Show’ award, for the skit “How 2BA Pokemon Master”!

7 Days….

Kayla here! Well there’s only seven days left until Sakuracon 2010. Our skit is finished so you can all expect an awesome show come Saturday morning of the convention! We have all been working very hard to get all of our costumes done and props as well and I can happily say that everyone’s cosplay is coming out beautifully! Everyone have a safe trip to the con! See you there!

Get Your Butts to SakuraCon!

Hello again readers and stalkers! Hahaha! Krystal (Sumikins) here. Sorry it’s been so quiet around this place — Work and real-life stuff has kept us all really busy. But, here we are, about three weeks away from SakuraCon 2010, and things are really heating up! After LOTS of brainstorming, and working through about 3 or 4 different skit ideas, NOTN has FINALLY set their skit, and things are coming along fantastically! We’re really excited about this one, and hope that everyone enjoys it! SakuraCon is being weird again this year, so Cosplay will be held at 11:00AM Saturday Morning. Mark your schedules, or else you’ll just have to wait to see it all on youtube!

Each of us are super busy, slaving away over this year’s costumes, props, and the like We’ve got some new costumes we’re really exited about, including all-new costumes for our skit this year! : D We’ve also got some great plans, and we’re looking forwrad to seeing each other, and our friends from Louisiana, the girls of Split.Image.Cosplay!

But, I need to get back to work. There’s a lot left to do! HOPE SO SEE YOU ALL AT SAKURACON!
